SMS Mill Services, LLC is a leader in steel mill services, seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accurate financial records and timely month-end close. The role covers accounts receivable billing, cash application, collections support, GL maintenance, and cross-functional accounting support in a fast-paced environment.

The AR Specialist will report to the Controller and collaborate with site administrators and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies, ensure accurate invoicing,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals for month-end close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for AR, cash, revenue, and other GL accounts.
• Process AR billing, review pricing and shipment data, ensure timely invoices.
• Support AR close, unbilled activity review, and billing within close deadlines.
• Reconcile cash receipts, apply payments, and monitor customer balances.
• Produce AR aging and collection reports for management and audits.
