Job summary

Lewis Brisbois seeks a Conflicts Manager to lead the national Conflicts Department, overseeing workflow, staffing, training and process improvements for timely, accurate conflicts services. The role involves supervision, performance management and collaboration with firm management, with a hybrid model and remote options.

Ideal candidates will have extensive law firm conflicts experience, demonstrated leadership, and proficiency with Intapp or Aderant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of law firm conflicts experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
• Experience utilizing Intapp, Aderant, or other law firm conflicts and intake systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Conflicts Department, ensuring timely and accurate conflicts requests and related services.
• Directly supervises the Conflicts Supervisor and other assigned personnel, including coaching, mentoring, employee development, and performance management.
• Participates in the recruiting and hiring process as well as employment related decisions.
• Oversees employee timesheets, PTO requests, coverage and departmental resource assignments.
• Partners with the Lead Conflicts Partner and Conflicts Attorneys regarding complex conflicts matters and departmental initiatives.
• Requires advanced knowledge of law firm conflicts processes, new matter intake procedures, conflict clearance workflows, and risk management principles.
