Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest arising from new engagements, client intake, and lateral hiring. You will draft and review engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and ethical disclosures while advising attorneys and business professionals on conflicts and ethics matters.

The ideal candidate has a JD, at least three years of law firm experience, and proficiency with conflicts software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• JD degree with an active bar license preferred.
• Experience in a law firm with conflicts and ethics matters.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze new engagements and hires to identify conflicts.
• Conduct electronic research to resolve conflict and ethics issues.
• Prepare and analyze engagement letters and ethics disclosures.
• Provide guidance on conflict of interest and ethics matters to attorneys.
• Communicate with attorneys and staff to facilitate resolution of issues.
• Assist in training staff on conflicts and intake procedures.
• Close client and matter accounts per firm policy.
