Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest across new engagements, client intake, and lateral hiring. You will draft and review ethical screens, waivers, and related disclosures, while advising partners on risk and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to communicate diplomatically with attorneys and business professionals across the firm.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of law firm experience.
• Experience with electronic research and conflicts intake systems.
• Familiarity with professional conduct rules and ethics in a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Review new engagements and hires to identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Conduct electronic research to identify, clarify, and resolve issues.
• Prepare engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and ethics disclosures.
• Provide guidance on conflicts and ethics issues to firm attorneys.
• Coordinate training on conflict of interest processes for staff.
• Close client or matter accounts per firm policy.
