Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest in new engagements and hires, and prepare ethics disclosures and engagement documents for review by firm attorneys.

The ideal candidate has a JD, a current bar license, and at least three years of legal research experience with conflicts and intake software. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active bar license required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years of legal research experience, with conflicts and intake systems.
• Proficiency with Word/Outlook and conflicts-related software (Intapp/Aderant).
• Working knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct in a law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze engagements and hires to identify conflict issues.
• Conduct electronic research using Westlaw, Google, and other tools.
• Prepare and analyze engagement letters, waivers, and ethics disclosures.
• Provide guidance on conflicts and ethics issues to firm attorneys and staff.
• Train staff on conflict of interest processes and client intake methods.
• Close client/matter accounts per firm policy.
