Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a General Manager to provide strong leadership and oversee the operations of a condominium hi-rise in Brooklyn, New York.

You will manage staff, coordinate with the Board of Managers, prepare meeting minutes, supervise budgets, and ensure compliance with state and local rules while delivering exceptional service to residents.

This in-person role requires high energy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; NYC condo/co-op property mgmt experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in NYC residential condominium and cooperative property management.
• Strong verbal and written communications and customer service.
• Strong financial acumen: budgets, cash flow, and financial statements.
• High energy, ability to multi-task under pressure and adapt to change.
• Excellent organizational skills and leadership abilities.
• Experience with large accounts and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with property management software such as AvidXchange/ClickPay is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff and building operations of a condo high-rise.
• Act as main contact with the Board of Managers and lead meetings.
• Prepare meeting minutes and distribute agenda packages timely.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, and financial reports; assist with annual budget.
• Coordinate vendor payments via accounts payable software.
• Conduct staff interviews, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with state/local rules and safety safeguards.
• Perform routine property inspections and coordinate capital improvements.
