Job summary

FirstService Residential in the United States seeks a High Rise Bench General Manager to support regional directors and on-site GMs, building strong relationships with boards, committees and residents, and ensuring building systems and common areas are properly maintained.

You will manage staff and vendors, assist in budget preparation, present financial reports, attend board meetings, and coordinate with city and utility partners while upholding high standards of service and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration or related field.
• CCAM, CMCA or PCAM designation preferred.
• Minimum of three years' high-profile community management experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HOA rules, governing documents, and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Acquire understanding of all governing documents (CCRs, By-Laws, rules) and ensure compliance.
• Learn FirstService systems and standard operating policies.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise building staff; create staffing plans and budgets.
• Promote FirstService Global Service Standards among staff and vendors.
• Inspect buildings and common areas; coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure fire, life and safety systems are operable and emergency procedures are documented.
• Oversee operating procedures and preventative maintenance for key systems (Elevators, HVAC, Pumps, Boilers, Security).
• Prepare board meeting agendas and packets; attend and take minutes; code vendor invoices.
