Job summary
Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves compounding medications in a clean room environment and supporting dispensing operations to ensure safe, accurate processes.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, is a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and licensed or registered as required by state regulations. Growth and comprehensive benefits are emphasized.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standards.
- Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
- Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
- Assists with ensuring quality standards are met by reviewing and inspecting compounded & packaged medications.
- Ensures all compounding and packaging is inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
