Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under a licensed pharmacist. The role focuses on safe, accurate medication compounding in a clean room and regular processing of prescriptions.

You will support quality assurance, maintain equipment, and assist with training junior staff. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, are a certified pharmacy technician, and licensed or registered as required by state law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
• Resident state licensing/registration as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policy and regulations.
• Prepare medications ensuring accuracy of dosages and packaging.
• Ensure quality standards for compounded and packaged medications.
• Maintain and sanitize laminar flow hoods and pharmacy surfaces.
• Calibrate equipment and record temperature/cleaning logs.
• Train and mentor Compounding Technician I.
