Job summary

Option Care Health Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician II under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The role focuses on safe, accurate compounding and preparation of medications in a clean room environment, with emphasis on quality control and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with dispensing, basic calculations, equipment calibration, and training junior technicians. This is a hands-on role in a growing home infusion operation supporting patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications in accordance with policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications to be accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Ensure compounding and packaging are inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleanliness and calibration of equipment.
• Record and maintain temperature and cleaning logs.
• Train and mentor Compounding Technician I's.
