Job summary

Option Care Health is hiring a Pharmacist Technician I to assist pharmacists in compounding medications in a clean room, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role focuses on prescription preparation, labeling, and processing to support safe patient care.

Under licensed supervision, you will perform basic calculations, maintain documentation, and help monitor medication safety incidents while supporting site and equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standard.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
