Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to join our team under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, focusing on safe, accurate compounding in a clean room. You will assist with preparation and dispensing of medications, perform basic calculations, review quality standards, and help maintain logs and equipment.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, and CPhT licensure; on-site work with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and licensed/registered if required by state.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prescription compounding, preparation, and processing.
• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Ensures quality standards by reviewing compounded and packaged medications.
• Maintains pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleanliness and logs.
• Calibrates equipment and records temperatures and cleaning logs.
• Trains and mentors Compounding Technician I's.
