Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under a licensed pharmacist in a clean room, performing medication preparation and dispensing support. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

You will help with calculations, quality checks, equipment calibration, and mentoring junior staff, contributing to high-quality infusion therapy services nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensed/registered if required by state.
• Experience providing customer service and supporting pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with prescription compounding and dispensing.
• Prepare medications accurately for compounding.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for dosages.
• Review compounded/packaged medications for quality standards.
• Ensure all compounding is reviewed and approved by a pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleaned/sanitized.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain logs.
• Train and mentor Compounding Technician I's.
