Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to support pharmacist-led medication preparation in a clean room setting. The role concentrates on accurate compounding, quality assurance, and adherence to state regulations.

You will also assist with site and equipment maintenance, and you may mentor junior technicians as needed. This position requires a high school diploma and a valid CPhT license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
• Must be licensed or registered where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and regulations.
• Prepares medications to be accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Reviews and inspects compounded and packaged medications for quality.
• Ensures compounding and packaging are inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintains clean room surfaces and laminar flow hoods; calibrates equipment.
• Keeps pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
