Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

The role primarily involves compounding medications in a clean room and supporting the preparation, processing, and quality checks to ensure safe and accurate operations. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, and active CPhT certification plus state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Microsoft Word proficiency for document handling, formatting and review.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency for currency formatting and data handling.
• Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency for presenting information.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Reviews and inspects compounded and packaged medications to ensure quality.
• Ensures all compounding and packaging is inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
