Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies, procedures, and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Reviews and inspects compounded and packaged medications to ensure quality standards.
• Ensures all compounding and packaging is inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
