Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II in Tampa, FL to support a clean room environment. Under a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with preparation, compounding, and processing of medications to ensure safe and accurate operations.

You will perform basic calculations, maintain temperature/log records, and supervise or mentor junior technicians as needed. The role emphasizes quality control and adherence to state regulations and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and licensed/registered as required by state.
• Strong math calculations and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications to be accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Review and inspect compounded and packaged medications for quality.
• Ensure compounding and packaging are inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
