Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Compounding Lab Manager to oversee daily operations of the compounding labs, scale up capabilities, and ensure patient safety per USP standards. You will manage lab setup, production, and QA while supervising technicians and coordinating new initiatives.

The role requires OH certification and experience in a compounding pharmacy, with responsibilities spanning training, SOP maintenance, and workflow optimization in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• OH pharmacy technician certification required.
• Experience in a compounding pharmacy required.
• Familiarity with USP 795 and 800 standards; able to train staff.
• Familiarity with Computer Rx pharmacy software.
• Knowledge of pharmacy SOPs in compounding.
• Ability to train and mentor staff.
• Comfort using pharmacy operating systems.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
• Clear, professional communication with staff and management.
• Inventory management and project leadership.
• Good time management and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage all activities within the compounding labs, from setup through production and to cleaning of equipment and labs.
• Direct supervision of the compounding technicians and lab assistants
• Develop and implement rollouts and SOPs for new compounding initiatives
• Coordinate with staff for personnel development and labor planning efforts.
• Develop and revise SOPs; create training materials and verification checks.
• Coordinate with staff for personnel development and labor planning.
