Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Head Compounding Pharmacist to lead our compounding lab and drive the development of new compounded formulations while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise compounding staff, oversee QA/QC, coordinate with R&D, and uphold USP 795/800 guidelines. This on-site role requires Ohio license and PharmD or Pharm degree, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
• Familiarity with compounding equipment and USP guidelines (795, 800).
• Knowledge of state/federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA/privacy rules.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise all compounding personnel.
• Perform, document, and QA/QC compounding procedures.
• Train and evaluate compounding staff.
• Review and approve materials for compounding.
• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance and use.
• Collaborate with R&D on new formulations scale-up.
• Ensure safety guidelines and PPE usage are followed.
• Coordinate with PIC on compliance and regulatory matters.
• Pharmacist-related activities including patient consultation and error documentation.
