Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an experienced claims professional in the United States to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex General Liability Coverage B, Cyber, and E&O claims. You will handle file quality, reserve setting, and negotiations while coordinating with internal teams and external experts.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of bodily injury liability claim handling, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently within a regulated

Qualifications

• Two years bodily injury liability claim handling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance contract language and claims processes.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage litigation and claims independently.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle assigned General Liability Coverage B claims, 1st and 3rd party Cyber claims.
• Provide quality customer service and ensure file quality and timely coverage analysis.
• Consult with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly investigate claims with insureds, policyholders, witnesses, law enforcement, medical providers and experts.
• Coordinate external resources for evaluation (Subrogation, Risk Control, nurse consultants, investigators).
• Verify the nature and extent of injury or property damage by reviewing records and documentation.
• Maintain claim files and document activities per procedures.
• Utilize evaluation tools and diary management to monitor timeline and exposure.
• Establish and maintain indemnity and expense reserves.
• Attend roundtables and advocate for improved payout strategies.
• Develop and apply creative resolution techniques.
• Promptly disposition claims within delegated authority.
• Negotiate dispositions with insureds or lawyers.
• Possibly manage litigation with counsel; control legal expenses.
• Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Ensure licensing within three months of starting and maintain CE credits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
