Job summary

Tufts Medicine’s Lowell General campus is seeking an RN for the Complex Care unit under the Career Direct pathway. The role involves direct nursing care in a high-complexity setting, following established policies and procedures.

Four level progression is based on RN experience and qualifications, with a 36-hour shift schedule including day/evening, and required on-call for overnights and weekends. Minimum qualifications include MA RN licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Department-specific certifications may be required depending on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
• Performs accurate clinical assessments and documents them.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Uses professional judgment to tailor care plans to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignments and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Educates patient and family and documents the discharge plan.
• Supports new staff through precepting and mentorship.
