Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Complex Care team on the Main Campus. The Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway offers four levels (I–IV) based on experience and qualifications, with a 36-hour schedule across day/evening shifts and occasional overnight/weekend call.

The RN provides direct nursing care in a complex care setting, requiring MA RN licensure and BLS, with a focus on evidence-based practice, individualized care plans, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience level corresponds to RN levels I–IV.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Evaluates and applies evidence-based practice in clinical care.
• Conducts accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops and evaluates individualized plans of care.
• Uses nursing judgment to tailor the plan to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignments and delegates as appropriate.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates referrals.
• Precepts and mentors new staff and participates in professional development.
