Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is hiring an RN II for the Progressive Care Unit. The role provides direct nursing care to patients and their families, following established policies and procedures. The position requires MA RN licensure, 12–36 months of RN experience, and current BLS certification.

The unit operates on 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts for 36 hours per week, offering a full-time schedule. Applicants are expected to meet department-specific certification requirements and may have BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Department-specific certifications may be required for certain patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to patients and families in line with policies and procedures.
• Performs accurate clinical assessments and documents findings.
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care and evaluates patient progress.
• Delegates tasks to team members based on patient needs and staff skills.
• Maintains patient/family education and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.
