Job summary

Lightning AI in New York is seeking a compensation and equity modeler to own the end-to-end compensation framework for a fast-growing AI platform.

You will benchmark against leading tech firms using market data, build decisioning tools, and partner with People and Finance to ensure fair, data-driven pay. This role combines modeling, analytics, and business strategy in a fast-paced, hybrid office environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in compensation, FP&A, analytics, or related field with ownership of comp planning and models.
• Proven ability to drive compensation planning aligned with business and People strategy.
• Strong modeling and analytical skills for complex comp/equity models.
• Experience using market data to benchmark and calibrate pay.
• Cross-functional partnership with stakeholders in AI/infrastructure/tech.

Responsibilities

• Own the compensation and equity models, ranges, and scenario tools; include cash-vs-equity tradeoffs.
• Lead annual and off-cycle comp planning end-to-end: strategy, budget, execution.
• Turn market data into decisions; benchmark against AI/infrastructure/tech peers.
• Build offer decisioning, leveling guidance, and performance-cycle resources.
• Keep comp inputs aligned with review and calibration processes.
• Build dashboards to surface pay equity, competitiveness, and retention risk.
