Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, budget, implement and report on compensation policies and practices, working with compensation leadership and HR business partners to align with strategy and market data.

Your role includes reviewing market data, supporting job hierarchies, administering bonus plans and merit programs, and ensuring competitive pay practices. Strong Excel, HRIS/payroll systems, and finance background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of compensation experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Broad based compensation experience.
• Accounting or Finance background accepted in lieu of compensation experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing market data: Analyze data from various salary market sources to ensure the organization’s compensation is competitive in the relevant market.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders: Provide specialized insights that enable the Talent Acquisition Team to offer attractive compensation packages to prospective colleagues.
• Supporting job hierarchies: Share input in defining the various job levels and roles across the organization and positioning them within a hierarchical structure.
• Bonus plans: Administer bonus plans that align with the organization’s performance goals and motivate and reward employees based on both individual and company performance.
• Administering merit: Responsible for supporting various stakeholders in administering merit and other compensation practices.
