Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Cornerstone/Avimark/ImproMed/eVetPractice/ezyVet).
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, vaccination protocols, and basic procedures.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling, multi-line phone handling, records management, and payments.
• Strong customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update records, and confirm appointments.
• Answer a multi-line phone system and handle scheduling, refills, and inquiries.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information compassionately, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain EMR and PIMS data entry and coordinate with team for smooth flow.
• Keep reception area clean and welcoming, supporting a positive client experience.
