Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital in Wildwood, MO is seeking a skilled Veterinary Receptionist for a full-time role. You will be the primary contact for clients and their pets, balancing administrative precision with warmth, in a high-volume, compassionate clinical setting.

You will manage records, scheduling, and payments with empathy. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off, with rotating weekends and holidays as part of full-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet) is preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, vaccination protocols, and basic diagnostic procedures.

Responsabilités

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries about scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups at checkout.
• Communicate medical information, diagnoses, and care instructions accurately and compassionately in sensitive situations such as euthanasia scheduling.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to relay messages and maintain client flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room to ensure a positive client experience.
