Job summary

Watson's Friends Animal Hospital in Florida is seeking a skilled veterinary receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and patients. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software including Cornerstone/Avimark/ImproMed/eVetPractice/ezyVet preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle high-volume client relations with composure.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system with inquiries about scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups at check-out.
• Communicate medical information and care instructions with compassion, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and timely data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay messages and manage patient flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
