Job summary

SCI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Family Service Counselor to grow client relationships and drive revenue through personalized service and pre-need planning education. The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of college or related experience, with a valid driver's license and potential insurance licensing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insurance license if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Holds self-accountable for prospecting a minimum of 1-2 hours each day.
• Obtains referrals from families served by the location.
• Networks and builds community and civic relationships.
• Responds to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner.
• Develops an understanding of each family's unique needs and offers solutions that provide value.
• Prepares for appointments and performs procedures with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Collaborates with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless, high-quality service.
• Builds trust-based relationships to earn referrals and educate on pre-planning benefits.
