Job summary

SCI is seeking a Family Service Counselor to serve families by arranging at-need and pre-need cemetery plans. The role focuses on building trust with families, generating referrals, and collaborating with funeral directors to provide high-quality service. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Applicants should have a HS diploma, 1–2 years of college, and 1–2 years in customer service or sales. A valid driver’s license and insurance license may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for leads and generate referrals from families served.
• Build relationships with families and understand their needs to offer pre-need and cemetery services.
• Coordinate with funeral directors and location staff to ensure seamless service.
• Present information to families and follow up on inquiries and appointments.
