Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; Required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and treats them courteously.
• Collects specimens accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly to patients and reduces anxiety.
• Disposes of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Enters patient, specimen, and billing information, ensuring accuracy.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity.
• Maintains records and logs; performs basic clerical duties.
• Uses PPE and follows laboratory safety procedures.
• Communicates issues to supervisor for resolution.
• Follows corporate compliance and privacy policies.
