Job summary

ComForCare Home Care in Danbury is hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support seniors in Waterbury, CT and nearby communities. Training and support are provided, so no caregiving experience is necessary.

You will help clients stay safe and independent at home with compassionate, non-medical care. You will assist with daily activities, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, while coordinating with the care team for changes in well-being.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• No caregiving experience required; willingness to learn.
• Background check may be required per Connecticut/state regulations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation for client visits.
• Must be reliable with punctuality and professionalism.
• Able to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical home care services, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Help clients safely transfer and ambulate.
• Meal preparation and assistance with feeding.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Medication reminders.
• Companionship and conversation.
• Transportation to appointments and errands (when applicable).
• Monitor client well-being and report changes to the care team.
