Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a 40-hour-per-week Front Desk/Registration Specialist for the Carolinas Rehab outpatient program in Concord, NC. You will deliver compassionate patient service at the registration desk, verify insurance, schedule appointments and assist with billing workflows.

Strong interpersonal skills and computer savvy are required; knowledge of Medical Records Software and front desk processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred, Front desk practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience.
• Manage patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival/departure desk activities.
• Encourage patient utilization of front-end technology during registration.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information throughout patient encounter; assist billing functions.
• Demonstrate proficiency of emergency codes and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Monitor inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment.
