Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience handling insurance verification and prior authorizations preferred.
• Experience handling patient balances is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments, collects copays, deductibles and patient balances, and assists with check-in and check-out.
• Verifies and updates demographic and insurance information; scans into EMR.
• Responds to inquiries about benefits, balances, and authorizations in a timely manner.
• Manages provider calendars, ensuring referrals or authorizations are met; supports scheduling of new and follow-up patients.
• Manages incoming calls and triages messages; notifies staff of arrivals, cancellations and schedule changes.
