You will schedule surgeries across hospital and clinical locations, manage follow-up appointments, obtain authorizations, and communicate clearly about procedures and financial responsibilities. Strong EMR skills and 2+ years in scheduling are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor's in healthcare administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in medical office or scheduling role.
• Experience with hospital systems or ambulatory surgery centers preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate surgeries and in-office procedures.
• Manage follow-up procedures and appointments; monitor schedules.
• Obtain authorizations and referrals; document them before surgery.
• Provide patients and families with information about procedures and costs.
• Collect and explain financial estimates and pre-payment requirements.
• Maintain medical records, charts, test results, and other information.
• Assist with patient education and information on medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Answer, triage, and respond to calls and messages promptly.
