Job summary

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated to patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include scheduling, taking histories, recording vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, basic labs, wound care, and maintaining records. Strong EMR skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or specialty practice is beneficial, preferably urology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments, take patient histories, and record vital signs.
• Assist providers during exams, prepare exam rooms, and explain procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy procedures.
• Perform dressing changes, wound care, and suture removals.
• Maintain patient charts and medical records.
• Assist with patient education and provide information on conditions and treatment plans.
• Answer, triage and respond to calls and messages promptly.
