Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah Valley Clinic seeks a thoughtful Patient Service Representative to be the friendly first point of contact for patients. You’ll greet, check-in/out, verify demographics and insurance, and document interactions in the EMR to support smooth care delivery.

The role emphasizes customer/patient satisfaction, collaboration with caregivers, and scheduling appointments, with 24 hours per week and a pay range of $18.31–$23.80 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and patient privacy.
• Multilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients; verify demographics.
• Document calls and visits in the EMR accurately.
• Schedule appointments and referrals as needed.
• Collect and verify insurance information; assist with registrations.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and collect payments if applicable.
• Maintain high level of customer/patient satisfaction.
