Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver compassionate bedside care on day shifts in Bloomington, IN. The PCA assists with meals, bathing, linen changes, and walking encouragement while supporting the bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and communicating changes promptly.

Eligible candidates will have a current BLS certification, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification or able to obtain during PCA education program.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• Infection control knowledge and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals and hydration for patients.
• Encourage walking and assist with ambulation.
• Help with baths, linen, and gown changes.
• Provide bedside RN support including vital signs.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort at all times.
