Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide compassionate bedside care. Duties include assisting with meals, helping patients with mobility, baths, and preparing clean linens while supporting the bedside RN with vital signs and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained through IU Health PCA program.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Assist bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormalities.
• Support patients with meals, hydration, walking, baths, linen changes and gown requests.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts, alarms, and staying within arm's reach during mobility.
