Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, visitors, and customers with professionalism, courtesy, and compassion.
• Schedule appointments and accurately register patients into Mercy's systems.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain necessary consents, signatures, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist patients with financial responsibilities, payment collection, and financial assistance referrals when appropriate.
• Ensure patient records are accurate, complete, and compliant with Mercy policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical departments, and support teams to facilitate seamless patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Support departmental goals related to patient access, revenue cycle performance, and customer satisfaction.
