Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital/clinic or similar customer service setting.
• Preferred Associate's degree.
• Certifications in Healthcare Access Management or Medical Assistant are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests in person or by phone.
• Initiate scheduling, registration, or admission; verify demographic data.
• Perform point-of-service collections and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Verify insurance benefits via electronic, phone, or web applications.
• Balance cash drawer and support daily financial processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve service.
