Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously in person or by phone
• Register patients and complete admission and scheduling tasks
• Verify insurance, collect co-pays and deductibles, and input demographic data accurately
• Explain benefits to patients and determine financial responsibility
• Balance cash drawer and perform end-of-shift cash processes
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with laws and standards
• Collaborate with other departments to support patient flow and payer requirements
