Qualifications

• Strong communication, both oral and written, with patients and colleagues.
• Experience in customer service and clerical support in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Proficiency with data entry (10-key) and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and verify patient benefits and pre-certification.
• Obtain and update accurate patient information in the medical record.
• Obtain financial clearance and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Explain payment options and financial assistance options to patients.
