Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college helpful.
• 1–3 years clerical and customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• Knowledgeable about insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and verify benefits for patients.
• Perform pre-certification, financial clearance, and pre-visit collections.
• Collect and communicate patient financial responsibility and available payment options.
• Ensure accurate patient data in the electronic record and document outcomes.
