Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for patients across all ages under OT supervision. You will document care, administer modalities, and maintain patient records in alignment with Mercy standards and service values.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited OTA program, current license or eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment under OT supervision and according to department policies.
• Document patient care including progress notes and need for continued treatment.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatments per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of needs across age groups (neonatal to geriatric).
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
