Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support assessments and individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages. You will work under supervision, document care, administer therapies, and maintain records in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Preferred candidates will have OTA training, current licensure eligibility, and BLS certification, with a willingness to grow within inpatient rehabilitation teams under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment on each patient as directed by O.T.R./L.
• Document patient care progress notes and treatment needs per policy.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatments per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records.
• Promote department education and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of needs across neonatal to geriatric ages.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
