Job summary

We Are Sharing Hope SC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Referral Triage Coordinator to manage and evaluate potential organ donor referrals and guide donor management under supervision. The role supports hospital education and collaborates with the Administrator On-Call and Medical Director.

The position requires clinical background in nursing or related fields, on-call capacity, and experience with donor processes and EMR systems. On-site work in a hospital setting is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in critical care nursing, paramedic medicine, medical technician or related medical experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (Cerner, Epic, Meditech).

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to potential organ donors in a timely manner.
• Perform clinical screening to determine donor suitability.
• Complete referral evaluations according to CMS/NDN/UNOS/AOPO guidelines.
• Review medical records for donor suitability and history.
• Guide organ donor consent with sensitivity to NOK and hospital policy.
