Job summary

We Are Sharing Hope SC seeks a Family Services Coordinator I to provide on-site support and advocate for organ and tissue donation. You will guide families through the donation process, collaborate with hospital staff, and ensure compassionate communication with donor families.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, medical or healthcare familiarity, and a strong commitment to the cause, with a rotating call schedule to ensure 24/7 response in the designated service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in medical/healthcare, sales, or marketing preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Confidential handling of PHI and patient information required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support and advocate for organ/tissue donation with families and hospital staff.
• Lead authorization discussions and provide information to donor families.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call availability with rotating schedule in the DSA.
• Build relationships with hospital personnel and SHSC staff.
• Respond to donor family inquiries and refer to DFS Aftercare resources as needed.
• Support donor families through in-hospital and aftercare processes.
