Gift of Life Donor Program is seeking a Referral Coordinator to support on-site donor referrals across hospitals within the service area. The role requires advanced clinical experience in critical care or trauma and a commitment to saving lives through organ and tissue donation.

Ideal candidates hold an EMT-P, ACLS/PALS certification or nursing-related degree, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, rapid decision-making and effective collaboration with hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Experienced in critical care/trauma, surgical or comparable clinical environment.
• ACLS or PALS certification or EMT-P level required.
• Demonstrated motivation to save lives through organ and tissue donation.

Responsabilités

• Rotate 48-hour and 72-hour call to respond to hospital referrals.
• Evaluate potential donors with medical history and current status.
• Coordinate donor designation, hemodilution and ABO confirmation.
• Provide medical management recommendations to staff as needed.
• Assess care plan, neurological and hemodynamic status with medical team.
• Interact with hospital staff to set up family approach and consent process.
• May coordinate Operating Room recoveries and blood specimen collection.
