Job summary

PACS is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in a facility setting. You will identify residents, assist with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and promptly report changes to nursing leadership.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, safety, and teamwork, with CPR preferred. Requires CNA license, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and equal opportunity employment. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• 10th grade education minimum.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans.
• Identify residents before treatments, meals, etc., using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Report changes in condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any disclosures.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Ensure room setup and supplies are ready for new/existing residents.
• Observe for pressure areas and skin breakdowns and report.
• Follow policies on exposure to blood/body fluids and safety procedures.
